OOC: Sorry about the crap spelling. I don't have word on this computer.
-----------
Adelaide sat and listened to Arkasel. He laughed a little and said that he could make it in the school labs.
"Wow." Adelaide was genuinley impressed. "You can really do that? I'd love to watch. I mean, you've already seen me at my talent. I reckon it's about time I saw yours. When do you do it? At night?"
She felt like she was going a little overboard with her "at night" statement, but there was a certain part of her that assosiated boarding schools with midnight romps of raiding the kitchens and running around in night gowns. At least, that has what she has got from reading all those Enid Blyton novels. It was true that Adelaide was a night owl, and liked to explore, but she could only assume that Arkasel had done it all before. If anything, all she could ask for was for a guide.

It seemed that when Arkasel had made his offer of a drink to her it had captured her attention more than he had expected. She seemed to find it impressive, even though he was sure the knowledge was available on the Internet easily enough."Yeah... Really it's not to hard, anyone could do it" he replied as he rubbed the back of his head with his right hand. This always happened when people seemed to be impressed with him, he began to sell himself short, it had cost him an interview with the head of the Physics department at a University in England.
Though she was flying through her words at a rate of Knots he was surprisingly able to keep up and think of a reply albeit a little delayed. "That's true, I guess that would be OK..." he said as he let his hand fall back down to his side and into his pocket. "Usually when I know the labs free. Nights are good but you need to be careful not to get caught by staff" he added after as he pulled out a pencil and notebook which he quickly scribbled on a sheet of and tore out.
"That's the main lab I'd use, I should be there tomorrow night, since it's still early they're going to be checking everything so tonight wouldn't be the smartest move" he said before offering her the slip with the scribbled floor & room number of his illegal little experiment.

Adelaide leaned forward and took the piece of paper from Arkasel.
"Thank you." She said, glancing at the paper before scrunching it into her pocket. It was nice of him to be so welcoming to her, and she really wasn't expecting it. She felt fairly at ease now that she had spent a bit of time talking to the guy. He was polite, and didn't ask too many questions, and didn't judge her for the stupid things that she said. She definitely felt that he could be a friend that would be willing to show her around, but today wasn't the day for that, so Adelaide got to her feet.
"I forgot about my harp." She said, quickly, and went over to where her harp sat. Resisting the urge to play it once more, she pulled the heavy case over it and clipped it all back into place before pushing it across the room to where a fairly empty store room was. 'Adelaide Peyroux' was written in swirly gold lettering across the side of the case, so she wasn't afraid that someone would mistake it for their own, but then again; who else would bring their own harp?
Adelaide closed the doors to the store room and walked back over to where Arkasel was. "I'd better head off now. I gotta finish unpacking and stuff..." She drifted off a little before asking, with a small smile, "So what time should I show up tomorrow? Midnight?"

Adelaide it seemed had no objections or problems in direct view with his behaviour as she took the paper with thanks and looked to it before stashing it away. Maybe he could do the whole social thing... Or maybe it was a one time fluke like so many apparent experiments in the past that had worked the one time and never after. She quickly dashed up to grab the case for her harp and Arkasel slowly pushed himself off the ground to get up as he felt his back ache slightly from a few rough nights and the start of the buzz from the drink helping to kill it.
As he watched her start to pack it away he felt slightly guilty and asked "Do you need a hand" but then realised that was her pride a joy and if he managed to do something even slightly wrong there was a chance of him destroying it and that made him feel like a fool for failing to realise before hand. If someone had done the same thing to... Well really he didn't have anything of that sort of value, he didn't know how much it could have meant to her.
She came back after storing it away quickly enough and he pulled himself back from the morbid feeling of having nothing to value as such. She mentioned she had to go finish unpacking and he nodded in agreement. "No need to explain, I'd expect you to be busy. What with your first year and all" he replied after she had drifted before she asked when she should arrive, even asking if the ever so famous midnight hour was OK.
"Midnight sounds grand" he replied, truthfully he would be there for an hour before hand setting up and having a drink before to make sure he didn't come off as his usual sober and morbid self that he had managed to contain so well thus far.

Adelaide looked at her companion.
"Midnight sounds grand." He said, and she couldn't help but crack up.
The way he said it was simply adorable, and she hoped she hadn't offended him by laughing. The combination of his accent and his words just managed to make her laugh.
She finally stopped and gave him a smile. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow night." She said, with a subtle wink.
With that, Adelaide Peyroux turned and left the room, almost skipping out. The conversation had been pleasant, and her new friend was interesting, though she definitely hoped to get more out of him in their next encounter.
