After her slight interruption at the front door from a seemingly nice girl, Eliza had finally made her way up two flights of stairs to the dorms on the Creative and Performing Arts floor. She walked along the corridor which, at the end of it, split into two. These other two corridors had both boys and girls dorm rooms running off them. Eliza, pulling her incredibly heavy suitcase behind her, made her way down the corridor that was occupied by female dorm rooms, and, before entering any of the rooms, she pressed her ear up against the door to see if anyone occupied them. On two occasions she heard loud chatter which clearly signified the fact that there were already loud and excited girls in the rooms, so she continued down the hallway. On other occasions she heard the sounds of various kinds of music emitting from the rooms, so she steered clear of those, hoping she'd fine an empty room all to herself.
As she made it to the end of the corridor, Eliza found a room which seemed to be empty, and she felt incredibly relieved when she opened the door, cautiously, to find that it was in fact vacant. She walked in and closed the door behind her, astounded by the beautiful room before her. There were five rather extravagant looking beds which sat against three of the walls, each one covered in luxurious bedding. Beside each of the beds was a mahogany table with a lamp perched on top of it which looked as though is was from the early nineteen hundreds. There were two long desks beside two of the walls and a large window on the one opposite her. To her left was a small door which Eliza assumed lead to an ensuite. Eliza let out a long breath as she took in the magnificent room before her. Why had her father never told her how beautiful this place was?
Being the first one in the room, Eliza look the liberty of choosing the bed that was next to the window, which separated it from other beds. She was glad she got to choose first because she knew she couldn't handle a loud, obnoxious girl sleeping next to her who, no doubt, would talk in her sleep. Eliza pulled her suitcase onto her bed with a lot of effort and unlatched the locks and flip the lid up. She stared at her belongings and sighed, knowing it would take her a long time to unpack everything.
