SAMPLE
Gaia sat in the centre of her room, a book about the Morganville vampires in one hand and a Gin and Tonic in the other. She knew she wasn’t allowed alcohol, but it wasn’t like there was any parent around to tell her “No” and if the maids or butlers told the Lord or Lady of the Manor, they would immediately be sacked for making up such lies. Continuing to read she heard foot steps coming towards her double white door. She took one last sip of her drink and placed it behind her back out of site, placing her other hand on the back of the book. The door knob twitched and the door opened slightly, and then stepped in a tall male with a black tux on. She sighed and grabbed her drink “What could you possibly want Cecil?” She said looking up over the top of the glass as she took another sip. “Madame, a letter from your parents” He stated his arm stretched out with a white envelope and the red wax encrusted with the seal for the Waverly family.
Putting the book down Gaia, she carried her drink to the door and took the letter looking up at Cecil once more; She opened it and glanced at the letter. She didn’t even read it, all she saw was the word “Boarding school” she gasped and her drink fell out of her hand and crashed on the floor. The butler visibly winced. She was startled by the noise and stepped back, cross she looked back up at Cecil “Well Sir, Why do you just stand there. It is your duty to clean up any mess. Hope to it” She stated and walked quickly passed him through the door “I must find Mama” she whispered to herself. She ran down the elegant hallway and down the grand staircase to find her parents packing their bag in their black car. “Mama! Papa!” She shouted as she ran to them, they stopped. The mother just shock her head towards the father and got in the car. The father however stood waiting the girls voice. “My What is it pumpkin?” The girl came to a stop “Don’t what is it pumpkin? Me. You know what it is. How dare you send me to a Boarding school” The father placed his pointing finger and thumb against his temples and rubbed back and forth
Calmly he replied to her “You didn’t read the letter darling. It’s the best one in France” The girl’s eyes widened “France I know nothing of France Papa. And I don’t care if it’s the one Prince Harry or the Queen went to. I will still have to mingle with people poorer then me. I will not have this. You can not make me go” The mother got out of the car straight away, her eyes narrowed “Now you listen here young lady, your bags are packed, your taxi is there you will follow Margery to it and you will go to France. Is that understood?” Gaia stood there her face fell “Yes Mama” She walked over to the car and sat down. Turning back she hoped to say goodbye at least, but her mother had gotten in and when her father had attempted to say goodbye, her mother shouted at him and he got in the car. Her face fell and Margery gave her a clean set of clothes she could change into since her clothes at the moment were wet due to the alcohol.
